Lone Star Models news
Gary thanks for posting the Jenny decal info. Not used to this forum and the posting restrictions for photos. Seems kinda odd to me but...
Anyway. Some WW-I news. First may not be news to you guys, I spoke to the fellow that owns Copper State Models at the recent IPMS Nationals, He said he was selling his company and there are a few interested parties so his kits should be available.
I am proceeding toward the release of the 1/48 Gotha G-1/ This will be a resin kit with some metal and etched parts and decals. The Felixstowe will be re-released but most likely after the New Year. Due to poor sales I have discontinued the Dh5 kit. Molds were worn out anyway so no biggie. The Halberstadt D-V will soon follow. For something a bit off the beaten path I will be releasing a 1/48 scale USS Texas Battleship turret with the experimental 1919 flying off platform. It too has decals for the turret and one Sopwith Camel. The aircraft will not be included. Other aircraft seen on this platform included the SE-5a, Hanriot, and N-28.
I have a limited number of my 1/48 etched brass sets available for the Nieuport 28 $12.00 each inclusive of S&H. They are printed by Fotocut.
The new Red Gecko Jenny decal sheet should be available in 6 to 8 weeks.
All for now.
Mike

Mike,
Great news from Lone Star. Any time frame for the Gotha release ? The Texas turret sounds very appealing to me ,allows me to cover both my favorite modeling subject at once. Looking forward to doing business with you soon.

Hi Mike,
Interested in the decal sheet, what will be the price for this set? I would like to build one of Pershing's !st Aero and it looks like you have one of them on the sheet. Do you have any information on what modifications must be done on the Lindberg JN4 to make it an accurate JN1 or JN2 as used in Mexico in 1916? I read somewhere that they strapped extra props to the side of some of these aircraft since the props were often damaged in the desert but have not been able to find any photos of these planes. Maybe you can offer a conversion set to back date the Lindberg kit and go along with your interior set to make an accurate early jenny used in Mexico.
Thanks
Dave Calhoun

Jenny decals
The Punitive expedition used the JN-3. I have yet to discover exactly what the difference was between the -3 and -4 varients.
At this time I only plan to include the Canuk tail planes and a upgraded OX-5 is in the works.
These decals are intended for the more available Lindberg kit. If you want to use them on an old Aurora kit I am sure they will work there too.
Price will be $12.00 plus $3.00 S&H
Please DO NOT! order yet.
Thanks, Mike

OK now I know why my last two post didn't work
Due to this sites rules you will have to find my web site on your own.
