Hi Everyone,
Please visit Amicale Jean Baptiste Salis (
http://www.ajbs.fr). They have a wonderful World War collection, many of them flying... It's about 30 miles south of Paris. You'll need a car to get there. Actually, you could get there by train... but it would be quite a workout.
It is, apparently, Europe's largest collection of vintage (WWI/WWII) flying aircraft.
Mike O'Neal and I visited there in 2008, and we were given a wonderful tour. I visited again May, 2010 and got to see the airshow. It was quite a treat seeing three Dr.Is flying at once. Ultimately there were six or seven biplanes flying with and against each other.
They have the only "original" flyable Spad XIII as far as I know. It's been fully restored.
Cheers,
Narayan
