Vacform 1/72 Halberstadt CL11

Hi, I have an old Formaplane CL11 in the stash that I'm going to have a go at. Would I be right in thinking that the Joystick version emanates from the same original mould.

Another thought. Now that the Airfix Hannover is available again what conversions do Forumite modellers consider the kit could be used for?

Regards, Steve

Hi Albatros, I'm pretty sure I've seen the Hannover CLV converted from the Airfix CL111a somewhere on the net. Going to try and find it. Also Ray Rimell published a scratch build of the Rumpler C1V which utilised CL111a wings x 2 and various other parts. Appeared in Scale Models, Feb 1975 and still available on the likes of e bay where I got mine several months ago. I still can't scratch wings properly, never can reproduce the curvature good enough, so anything that looks like it might have potential use elsewhere I try to stash when it's available. Regards, Steve

Back again, Found the site that has the CL V conversion. Not a lot of detail but there are pictures of the finished article which looks good to me. The modeller is Bill Arnold and the site is www.ww1-models.org/index.html Once there click on Model Galleries, then Models and Photo archives search. The rest is self explanatory. Regards, Steve
