A Plea to WINGNUTS....
Gentlemen I'm here to campaign for you company to consider a long over looked aircraft that has a respected place in WWI history and probably aided more to the defeat of the Central Powers than any of the aircraft you have produced so far.....I would also be willing to bet it was produced in greater numbers than all the German aircraft combined that you have released. and add to that its longevity, color schemes, and being recognized by people inside and outside the aviation arena.
The Curtiss JN-4 Jenny
Yup, the simple Jenny,an aircraft that was produced in numbers of over 7,000 examples in various models....the aircraft that trained the airmen that took on and defeated the Central Powers.
And lets face it it would add an American product to your line.
How about it...

Hi Ken,
Yes, The Jenny had a long and illustrious life---but no more so than the Avro 504, (used by the CFS) of which certainly in the region of 9,000 (perhaps more) were built up to the very early thirties, most of them during the war years though.
Plenty of good colour schemes also...
Not trying to 'stymie' your plea, you understand, as either would be lovely---but probably unlikely my friend...
Cheers, Dave.

Yes Dave, but there are other UK aircraft in the Wingnut line up....And I wouldnt swear to this but I am almost willing to bet that "Jenny" is more name recognition in the US then Avro 504.
Otherwise thanks for dumping on my thread. Jeeez Start your own campaign

Yes, the JN-4 would be a great addition.

I have been persistantly and steadily lobbying WNW to make a Jenny and the Canuck since the begining of WNW public presence. I've not heard back any confirmatrion or denial on this kit proposal. I believe that in the US, the Jenny has more popular recognition factor than any other biplane, ever. Plus, there are a few about, including the beautiful restoration, un covered, in the Boeing Museum. Gazillion possibilities for paint schemes. On and on. . . . . . . I believe there are many modelers who are not die hard WW-1 fans who would love to add a Jenny to their collectrion.

The Jenny is a hack. Literally. Non combat aircraft? Way down on the list, for my taste.
