So it's been 30 years since I built a model.
Started fairly simple with a Eduard Morane Type N.
Learned a lot of lessons..relearned many of those.

I could win an olympic medal for launching teeny bits far distances with my tweezers...for distance and rate of fire. Got a little over ambitous (non-profipack version) for my skills adding a masthead, pulley, moving the headrest, making other bits from foil which took time and you can't really notice as much as other parts I could have detailed. Launch said bits great distances.
glued..painted.. messed up a ton.
But you know it was a hoot! I'm perfectly happy with the result and the learning experience. Many thanks to the people here for the knowledge and inspiration.

Tried to keep the weathering light except for the peeling paint on the cowl, which was an issue for this aircraft. Destroyed the first decal I tried so I painted all the black trim.

Yep the buckles at the attachment points look overscale..rigging is .004" mono and they were very tight, so next time shorter and perhaps try the oil paint method. Maybe try another color...silver/steel?

Just a touch of sheen which you can see in this one. Might be too much or too little.
Even built a wooden sailboat model on the side, so I'd have a project to head towards when I got frustrated. The sailboat got done first!
Any tips/comments appreciated of course.
