A DR.1 Triplane Question

Hello, All,
I have a question regarding Triplane markings. To my knowledge, no Tripes sported colored rib tapes, but i have seen some pics that refer to a black stripe, or line, running the length of the leading edge of the top wing.

Is this common to all DR.1s? Does the line appear on the other wings? What isw the purpose?
