Your blast from the past?

So, the flux capacitor has been invented, and fits nicely in that old DeLorean. We can now go back in time to our favorite era. Where would you go? What would you most love to witness up-close-n-personal? Who would you love to meet?

I'd go to a lot of concerts I missed. That and see how much of WWI I could capture with a camcorder.

My Gallery
Western front.

Hi Maureen:
I would go to the Western front, visit every German unit and take color photos so I would not have to guess and work out the markings. I would photo graph all the Allied units and take pictures all day long. Then I would come home and write a book and illustrate it with color photos and end all arguments forever! When can I go?
Blue skies Maureen,
Dan-San

G'day Maureen

Reserve a seat for me in your DeLOrean, please. I'd like to go back and visit Werner Voss as he's about to get into his Fokker F 1 103/17. I'd be heavily armed with digital cameras and spare batteries, of course.
Like Dan-San I'd like to see a few aerodromes, but allied as well as German.

Cheers

David

I'd go rescue DanSan from whichever side's firing squad he's in front of!

I'd go to the battlefield at Hastings on October 14th. 1066 (early) and tell the English commanders to pass on to the entire army that the Papal Bull condemming everyone who fought for Harold, including Harold himself, to Excommunication...Death in this world and everlasting torment in the next...had been bought and paid for by Norman perfidy and was worthless.

Alway's wondered what effect that cuse had on the English army that day!

I'd go back to the Chicago of 1922 to 1930 and happily live there for ever.

My Gallery
Assorted - since I can

Take me to:

Nagashino Japan - 1575. Watch the Oda blast the Takeda into the 16 century in the first massed use of firearms in Japan.

Sekigahara Japan 1600 - Watch the Tokugawa finally take control of the entire county.

Ganryu Jima, Japan 1612 - Watch the duel between Miyamoto Musashi and Sasaki Kojiro. (I've been to all three places - just a couple hundred years too late....)

Philadelphia - 3 July 1776 - Spend two days with the signers of the Declaration....

Gettysburgh Penna - 1 July 1863 - spend three days ....

Washington, DC - April 1865 - Prevent Wilkes Booth from getting into Fords Theater....

Greasy Grass Creek, Montana - 25 June 1876 - Dressed like a Lakota Sioux (of course....)

The English coast at Dover 25 July 1909 waiting for Bleriot....

Put me at Reims in August 1909 for the week to watch the week long competition with Latham, Bleriot, Farman, Curtiss, et. al....

Put me on the Carpathia 14 April 1912 (unless there was room for me in one of the Titanic's lifeboats....)

Antarctica 1914-1915. Since Shackleton eventually makes it out, I'd love to go along for the ride....

Poelkappele Belgium, 11 September 1917 - Find out what really happened to Guynemer...

Toul, France 14 December 1918. Find out what really happend to Lt. Martin A. Ryan....(NJ boy who I have no photo of, but crashed fatally on 14 Dec....)

Pick the dates for Voss, vR, Lufbery, Windisch and put me there as well....

Any Saturday in 1971 - before Dad found out he was terminal....

This is an IMPOSSIBLE list.... there's literally thousands of days I'd like to see.

If I have to boil this to one day, make it 1971....

Mike
