So what!

I recently purchased three books:

1 No Parachute Arthur Gould Lee

2 Winged Victor a biography by Gordon Atkin of Victor M Yeates the author of Winged Victory.

3 Diary & Letters of a World War 1 Fighter Pilot named Guy Mainwaring Knocker.

I was quite surprised to find that there was a sort of connection between them.

1 They all flew Sopwith Camels. So what!

2 They all engaged in the dangerous practice of trench straffing. So What!

3 Yeates and Lee both served in 46 Squadron but not at the same time. They both however knew and flew with Donald MacLaren.

4 Guy Mainwaring Knocker was the flying instructor that taught Yeates to fly. Well somebody had to teach him.

It's a small world and Knocker when wounded reported to casualty and the first person he saw was his sister who was a nurse in France.
