Eduard's Albatros D.III OEFAG

Eduard have included details of their new Albatros in this months newsletter. A series 253 to be followed by a series 153 in August.

Looking forward to this.

That must be an all new kit and not a re-release of an old one Thats got to be another must have for my collection.

Is it me or do Eduard seem to stepping up the production of WW1 kits, there seem to be a lot of new or reboxed kits just lately in production?

Yes it's new tooling on the Oeffag release . Eduard has never done this versoin before . As for the other ones coming out . I will pass on them .As much as I like Eduard it is getting rather dull having the same kit's released over and over and over again . Some different subjects would be great . Just my two and half cents worth .

Another WWI

I read the Jan 2010 Eduard Newsletter also, and they also mentioned an unnamed WWI subject that would be following on the heels of the Oeffag
Albatros. Speculation, Anyone?

The good thing about the re-releases for me is that I got into this hobby again early last year and it was at a time when there were not many WW1 kits available. The first month or 2 of my new interest saw many models go OOP and I could just not find them after that to buy, unless it was at expensive prices on Ebay. I have got a lot of the models I want from early kits from Ebay and other online shops around Europe, but I still have some big holes in my collection so I will be buying a good few, but not all of the new kits for sure. New subjects would be great as well

Could it be the Caproni bomber, CA.3 I think, that they promised us a couple of years ago? Wouldn't that be great .

Tony.
