I have the Roland D.VIa on my workbench. I think it´s a little nice kit. The model is nice detailed. Also the fit is ok. I will show the finished model if desired.

I've got the Blue Max kit, which is really nice but will require a bit more work. From the looks of this kit, I may have to pick one up. Maybe build an a and b version. Looking forward to seeing yours built up, Soren. Maybe you can do some in progress shots.
Happy New Year,
Bud

You may want to check your BM Roland, coyotemagic.
A reviewer/builder stated the following:
Quote:

It was at this point, while checking the alignment of the wings, that I made the discovery that puts me off the kit. The left upper wing is 1/8 inch shorter in span than the right upper wing, measured from the central rib. The result is that the left interplane struts toe out from upper wing to lower wing, viewed from ahead. They should be vertical, like the interplane struts on the right wings, and the angle is very noticeable.

Blue Max 1/48 Roland D.VI
I can't comment, since I've never seen the kit.

Thank you for the heads-up, Lugarno67. I just checked the wing against the Datafile drawings and it's dead on. I then measured from center rib to each wing tip and they measure the same. I guess Blue Max fixed the problem after the review (well, probably not since they are limited run kits), or Tom just got a bad one, or he measured wrong. At any rate, the kit looks good. To see a really nice build up with the struts vertical go to: Model search result frame
Cheers,
Bud
