Windsock Datafile - LVG C.VI

Hi all

Here's a cropped version of the artwork I created for Ray Rimell's new Windsock Datafile on the LVG C.VI. I've put a larger uncropped version in my gallery here at the Aerodrome.

Another nice composition Jerry -- I like it!

How many textures maps do you use to shade the model & the background? How big are they? Do you use a 64-bit rendering engine?

Thanks!

Hello Jerry,

As always, your exceptional Artwork I've come to expect.

I was not there, but the fuselage seems a little too maroon (?) for me.
Just my opinion.

I only use a few for the model itself - 4 or 5 at the most, altogether. The background is painted digitally. I don't use 64-bit stuff just yet.

Ray Rimell sent me a photographic sample of a piece of C.VI fuselage, which is what I derived my colour from. Take into account lighting and specular effects etc., and you end up with this sort of shade.

Thanks very much for the high praise Robert! And sorry for my late reply - I haven't been here for a while!
