Check out his other videos also, 1 1/2 Strutter, FE-2b, etc.

Notice in the Strutter video how before starting the engine they choke it by spinning the prop with the switch off and with a mechanic holding his hand over the intake pipe.

That's great stuff! I love seeing the whole flight being walked out for their take-offs with one ground crew member on each side. It also looked like the Camels practically shot off the grass after going to full power.

Yup. Wasn't there someone looking for takeoff distance for Camels recently? This would be a good link for them.
