Jonny Quest- Shadow of the Condor

Anyone remember this episode that featured a Spad 13 and Fokker D-Vii? I went nuts when I first saw it as a kid.

Oh no, Race's guns aren't loaded!

I thought, and still think, the animation's pretty good! Considering it's like 40 years old now!

Good! I immediately recognized that one was done up as Rickenbacker's Spad. Not sure if the Fokker had a prototype.

Thanks for posting that, Balloon Buster. Jonny Quest was one of my favorites as a kid, and obviously this episode thrilled me to death!

The animation might be a little basic, but the storylines, artwork and the development of each character were head and shoulders above other cartoons of the day. The terrific comic book artist Doug Wildey was responsible for a lot of that.

I love how those props can just chew up their opponent's rudder like a buzz saw, with no apparent harm to themselves - but that Fokker D.VII can't take on an Andean condor!
