Hi
I am looking for the first name of this flyer and possible servicing units...! Also possible date of birth... Apparently he joined FAA 263 in late May 1918 and soon left for taking over the command of FAA 242w, but I am unsure about the source for the later unit... It seems also that he is noted as a "von" in some sources... He served initially in IR 94 and was promoted Hptm in late 1915... Any additional information or hints are welcome  Gunnar |

Gunnar,
I don't have much on this chap but I do have his first name: Georg von Dassel. Leutnant 16 August 1907 U4u. Served in various companies of Infanterie-Regiment 94 prior to the war with an attachment to Feldartillerie-Regiment Nr. 55 in 1910. He was in the Machine Gun Company in 1914. Regards Glenn |

Hi Gunnar,
Georg von Dassel was born in Schinz/Pommern on 15 Oct 1888. After the war he served with the german police and died in Koblenz on 4 Jun 1931. Immo
