Hi!
While I was at Oshkosh last week I ran into Allan Snowie. He is on one of those super replica adventures. He is flying (and sometimes trailering) a Graham Lee Nieuport 11 from Nanaimo Collishaw Airport in British Columbia and going all the way to the former Shearwater Naval Air Station in Nova Scotia.
Talk about a long trip!

Allan is a great guy and is doing the trip to commemorate the 100th anniversary of flight in Canada. He is also working to get Redford 'Red' Mulock of Winnipeg inducted into the Canadian Aviation Hall of Fame. He was one of 936 Canadians who flew with the British Royal Naval Air Service during that conflict and was the first Canadian Ace of the war. The aircraft is marked to represent one of Red's aircraft.
