steerable tailskid control on SE5a

Hello everybody,

Does anyone know how the steerable tailskid on the SE5a is connected to the rudder bar and how it works? I can't really tell from pictures that I have seen.

Thanks,
Erik

S.E.5a steerable tailskid controls.

Hi erikr:
A separate set of cable come off the rudder bar, and exiting the fuselage sides near the bottom about 1.5' forward of and go directly to the control horns on the of the tailskid post. On the two cables inside the fuselage, on each cable are installed coil springs to take up any ground shock to the cables and the pilot during taxing or landing. The tailskid moves the same as the rudder, when the rudder bar is moved.
Blue skies,
Dan-San
