Question Service time of the ALBATROS C.VII in frontline units

Hello!

I’m looking for the dates when the first Albatros C.VII reached the frontline and when the last machine of this type left the frontline units (naming the month and the year would be good). Testing of prototypes and the use of obsolete aircraft in flying-schools is not a part of my search – especially the Germans used older aircraft for training for a long time after they were replaced by more modern machines.

For the Albatros C.VII I found out (up to now) that the machine was first seen over the trenches in February 1917 and that the frontline service ended in November 1918 due to a still sufficient performance .

Any help is welcome.

Hello Dan-San!

Thank you very much for your information. It fills a considerable gap in my list (this even answers questions that were not asked by me up to now) and during the next few days I will ask for several other service dates.

Have a nice and sunny weekend
