Very interesting officer pilot? with Pour Le Merite (Original photo)? Who is he??? Looks a little like Max Immelmann to me???? Has anyone seen this photo before???

Nice pic. He looks kinda brawny in the photo. I usually think of him being slim.

Immelmann was an accomplished gymnast, and very fit. Something of what we would call a "health nut" today, except he had a weakness for cake.

Hi everyone!

It's definitely Max Immelmann. Though I haven't seen this particular shot, it was taken the same time as another of him standing on the same ladder and spreading his coat like wings (see attached).
