Larry Greenly,
My site is dedicated in the identification of all 320 Fokker Dr.I built during WWI.
You will find photos, color illustrations/profiles, artwork and much more.
Your question "I can obtain hi-res images" in most case you will able to find just the low-res on the net. I have High-Resolution photos with some of them being over 500 MB each and therefor are not suitable for the internet as it would take way too long to load up. I have tried to give the best images I can place that are about a max of 300k so you don't have to wait too long. In most cases the hi-res photo are vary hard to get and usually only traded with other historians that do the same in return. Some people spend a lot of time and money in acquiring these photos and are not just going to hand them out for free.
If your planing on publishing any of these photos I would be vary careful of what you use as some photos may be owned by someone and you could get into a lot of issues because of it. There are lots of people here that have what your looking for but getting them to loan out with out any kind of detail and or publishing rights may be hard.
When it comes to artwork and illustrations/profiles these are under copyright and you have to get the artist permission in writing.
Hope this gives a little insight...
