That is Lovely!!!!!!!
I Love it.
A couple of questions......
What did you use and how did you go about painting the prop and floats?
And what is your secret for the perfectly parallel double flying wires?
Thanks, and well done on a great little build.
Best.
Adrian

Outstanding PrzemoL.
Your mastery of painting makes this old dog of a kit shine.
Once I finish the Bristol Scout I plan on getting back to the 48 scale Baby I started 5 years ago.

Thank you for your interest and nice welcome to my Baby.
My recipe for painting of wood is quite simple. First I airbrush the base with a mix of Mid Stone and Wood Tan from Pactra. Then I add some darker spots with a little bit darker mix of these colours - this with a brush. On the prop they must be painted carefully to get the layered structure (I realize there are too few layers in my props but I am not able to get more than five plies in my scale), on another wood surfaces they are just irregular blotches. And after this I delicately smooth the surface with 2000 grade sandpaper and a cloth. Then come several thin layers of Clear Orange applied with airbrush. The floats for this Baby required a two step procedure, first I prepared the sides, then masked them and made the tops, bottoms and rims imitating the characteristic beading. I tried to make them much brighter than the sides.
As for the double flying wires, well no special care in this, I just drill two sets of two holes for each wire run, it is not my first attempt and I daresay now I can drill double holes equally spaced almost with blindfolded eyes.
PS. Anyone interested can see some photos from the construction here:

I would have guessed it was 1/48 scale if you hadn't said anything.
Fantastic and beautiful work!

Fantastic job PrzemoL, as usual from you! I have saved your build link as I have two of these in the stash. Thanks for telling us how you painted your floats.
