Brandenburg CC is described in the same book as a bit smaller and lighter with a maximum speed of 175 km/h at sea level (again Bz.III engine).
Wing area was 26.5 sq.m (CC) vs. 34.38 sq.m (W 18).
Data from Schupita:
- Austro-Daimler 185 P.S. and Hiero 160/200 P.S. for A12/24 (CC); 165-179 km/h.
- Hiero 200 P.S. for A25/48 (CC); 170-179 km/h.
- Hiero 200/230 P.S. for A50/96 (W 18); 163-175 km/h.
Wing span 9.3/8.47 m (CC) vs. 10.7/10.3 m (W 18).
All the data are quite consistent for all the flying boats. I do not expect too much speed increase with aditional power. About 10 km/h is a reasonable value. Improved take-off run, rate of climb and ceiling should be expected too.
Even a fighter aeroplane with Hiero 200/230 P.S. was able to achieve only about 190 to 200 km/h.
