Aces High/Sagittarius Rising
I heard the film Aces High was loosly based on Cecil Lewis' book Sagittarius Rising and Im just curious to know what were the similarities.BTW,when will the DVD of the film be on region 1?

Ace's High was based on the play "Journeys End" by R C Sherriff, first performed at the Apollo Theatre London in 1928

Hi Willi,
I think the screenwriter threw in a bit of material cribbed from Saggitarius Rising but the themes, plot and general atmosphere really have little to do with this wonderful book. Daryl |

Just to confirm - The films credits state: Screenplay by Howard Barker. Based on R C Sherriff's play "Journeys End" and additional material from "Saggitarius Rising" by Cecil Lewis.
