After very many working hours the Voisin de Caters (that is the machine flown by the Belgian de Caters in 1909) is completely restaurated and to be seen from end October 2008 in the Brussels Museum.
Restauration was done by the BAMF [Brussels Air Museum Foundation]. For the occasion a book (40 pages is produced) and special 3D drawings are specially made by the expert 3D modeller Dragan Salar.
Parts of the book can be seen
here. It is called 'The Voisin de Caters: the <<making of>>'.
Some examples of the 3D art of
Dragan Saler depicting the Voisin Biplane flown by de Caters can be seen
here. Judging from it, it is great work, hopefully printed in high quality on good paper.
Both books can be obtained by providing BAMF with a gift of 50 Euro or more. More information can be found in the newsletter from BAMF
here
Cheers
