I was encouraged to look at this site by bobs_buckles - all he said and a bit more. Not an overly active modeller, but by way of introducing myself here is my Vimy, from the Frog Novo kit (I think - a long time ago).

Welcome!

Welcome to the drome Middleton! Looks like a fine build. My hat off to you because that's a lot of rigging for sure. I hope you didnt pull your hair out attaching the top wing, cause I sure would have. I hope that you stick around here, and are encouraged to build more kits. Always room for more. Again welcome, and glad to have you.

Let me add my thumbs up on a decent build. Welcome to the "Drome" there are good fellows here. Tell us more if memory serves. What was the best and worst of your experiences with building the Vimy?

David,
Welcome to the aerodrome.

A top bunch of modelers/historians live within these walls and a nice bunch they're too.
The Vimy looks outstanding, pray tell us, what was she like to build?

Goodness me - that is a very nice welcome - thank you all very much.

I built this about 4 or 5 years ago - yes the top wing was a bind - I am thinking of investing in the Aero club jig for future builds such as this - the HP 0/400 is lurking in the background and I have bought several hundred of "Bobs Buckles" in anticipation. Thanks again for the kind words - valuable when from people like yourselves.

David.

Thank you too Mr Bill - just what I need - so may even see an increase in activity on the "bench".
