Help. :'( Help. :'(
It's happening to me, the mince pies are turning as treacherous as Brutus's toothpick in the Roman Forum. :-[
What can be done to delay the inevitable? I thought of buying a pair of glasses with huge magnification so I can see what I'm doing.
Is this healthy or will this practice send me blind? 8)

Ginge, no need for expensive illuminated magnifiers and all that shenanagans. Get down to your local market and spend a couple of quid on some cheap reading bins. A magnification of x1 is just fine for most modeling work, experiment with something slightly stronger for the detailed stuff. Other than that, try wearing boxing gloves when you go to bed at night :

Ginger,
Peter is right. For myself, i went to the Hobby Lobby and got myself a set of Mag-Eyes, with some extra lenses, so I've got one for general work, and one set of lenses for detal stuff.

When I was forced to go the magnifying glass route many years ago, my work actually got better. It takes me a lot longer to get things done but that saves me money because I don't have to buy as many kits.

Yeah, I know. That's a big lie. I buy 'em anyway.
Be of good cheer, Ginger. It's not as bad as you think.

G - Peter is right but hit a fat light.
Flood the damn thing and you could see it through the next room.

Paint speeds up too.

I suppose what you mean by munchkin scale is 1/72nd, is that right?

If so, the answer is simple - go to 1/48th!

,Seriously though, go down to your hobby shop and buy one of those magnifying glasses that you wear like goggles - worked for me.
