Hi all;
I'm sure many of you will consider this sacrilege but I like to include pilot figures with my planes - It would be pretty dangerous to have them "flying" from the roof of my office without someone at the controls. I'm currently buying some SMER kits, and wanted to know if they come with pilots, or if I will have to find some elsewhere. I know some of the old Aurora kits came with a few figures - pilot and groundcrew - and I wondered if SMER retained them.
Also, has anyone bought the seated pilot or observer from Rosemont?
Links to any other sources of 1/48 pilots would be appreciated as well.

The pilots supplied by SMER are pretty much what you'd expect from a kit originating fifty years ago. (half a century, scary huh?) After market resin pilots I have seen at shows look very good and I'm frequently tempted by the vision of a fully manned Bristol fighter mounted on a base board. I haven't sucumbed yet though.

That's all right - I'm getting quite good at swapping heads and limbs. WWII japanese pilots usually work pretty well as head donors as their flying caps look the part.

Not for 1/48th scale, but for 1/72, PJ Productions proposes two WWI pilot figures. See them at: http://www.pjproduction.net/Pilots4.html

Hope that PJ will realise the 1/48 version of those nice guys soon...
