Factory Floor says, "That's Italian!"...

Here's Eduard's Weekend Edition of the Hanriot-Dupont HD-1, but actually Hanriot-Macchi HD-1, almost OOB...

I used the 'Green Dragon' markings from the Limited Edition box as well as the resin headrest...But other than that, all the same. I was happy to notice that the molds were the same, hence the ammo chute/guard thing was on the sprue. This was necessary to replicate the jaunty port-side Vickers common on the Italian birds. The instructions had the gun in the middle, a la Francaise.

What a great looking little plane this was! I think I like this better than the Ni-17 series (gasp!) if only for it's low-slung aspect and that angled struts. Rigging is mono-filament, a bit of stretched sprue and a touch of Ethicon. Paints are Polly-S Aluminum over all, with Humbrol for the red and green of the tail-feathers and the under-sides of the wings...Sorry, no pics of those...I'll add that later.

Something French is next...

From the Factory on the hill,
John Masters
