Spad XIII French SPA Falcon/Horus symbol

Does anyone know how many French Spad squadrons used Falcons or Horus symbols and which ones they where? Saw a Falcon/Horus symbol on a Spad XIII and was curious about it.

Falcon/Horus

C&C(US) V.7#3 has a set of French Esc. insignia drawings.
There are a large number of animals and birds used, but I couldn't find one of
a traditional Falcon/Horus.
However the following have an Egyptian look to them:
C66 - bird with outspread wings.
N75 & N153 - bird with one outspread wing.
C56, PS128, SOP271 - scarabs.
VB107 - winged snake.

Following is a link list of Fr. Esc. Insignia drawings:

Bonjour Hoodoo and Cliff

among escadrilles with falcon only the escadrille 75 and 153 used Spad XIII
in 1918 (named SPA 75 and SPA 153)
I agree with Cliff and I don't find another escadrille apart the list he gave, which had that type of emblema
May be the Spad XIII you saw with a falcon bird was one if those?

Spadd XIII French SPA Falcon/Hourus symbol

Froggy: You nailed with the First pic. I assume the 2nd pic is an interpretaton. The color interpretation for this Spad I saw is currently an orange rather than red color.

hoodoo,

There is a photo of what appears to be original fabric on this French site (about 4/5 of the page down). It is very similar to Bruno's second image. The photo was supplied by Albin Denis, who I believe is a significant French researcher. I can't read French, but perhaps Bruno can help us out with the details.

Bonjour à tous

I know very well Albin denis,a great specialist of french ww1 aviation, who have not the habit to give interpretations but give accurate informations taken from different sources
Concerning the Spa 153 insignia , on the albin Denis 's site,(link given by Steve), the photo you can see is a photo of a Spad XIII ' fabric, extracted
from the aircraft of Capitaine Gigodot,CO of Spa 153 -This photo belonged to
The Capitaine Gigodot family nowadays.

A your disposal if you need "translation "

Cordialement
Bruno
