A question for Dan San Abbott

Dan,

I was looking at a your profile of Fok.D.VII 262/18 and wondering how you came up with all yellow top and lower wings. Looking at the only picture I have of this aircraft, it shows the lower wing in printed fabric.
I am sure you have other documentation on this aircraft and would like to be correct as possbile when building this aircraft.
Thank you for your time on this matter
Doug

My Gallery
Fok.D.D.VII 262/18??

Doug:
I believe you are talking about the picture with Ltn. Emil Thuy standing along side of his Fok.D.VII 262/18. Well there is another photograph, it was taken in August, at Neuflize Airfield, in the German 1.Armee. On this day, Jasta 28w had visitors and they were all standing around Ltn.Thuy's Fok. D.VII 262/18. At this time Ltn. Thuy is Gruppenführer der Jagdstaffeln. 7, (Gruja 7), as such, commands Jasta 28w (Also the Jastaführer), Jasta 33, Jasta 57 and Jasta 58. and has added some decorations to his D.VII, to the white band around the fuselage he has added dark edgeing. Which I intrepreted as red, Württemberg colors were: yellow, black and red. The yellow tailplane with the black stripe represent two of them I have assume the dark edge is red. The wings are over-painted the same color in the photo as the tailplane, hence the yellow.
Blue skies,
Dan-San
