Arch Whitehouse

Im just reading a book i got at an £18 snip by Arch Whitehouse. In it he claims to have started the first dogfight of the War with his pilot Liuet Youl (sic) possibly Youll-any truth in this? I found his book tocontain mispelling of names ie Lt Waterfell first kia 1914 RFC Lt Sipps (Sippe0 Zeppelin shed raider but also some useful facts if they be true-ie lots of early British flyers were banned from driving for motoring offences-He writes in a sort of boys own style and tends to greatly emphasize the US effort-
I dont wish to take anything away but-any views on him anyone? What is really nice about the book is that he has dedicated it to a buyer-'my best book on the War in the Air your Arch Whitehouse'
