Gettin' in the short rows on my little Hawker Fury I biplane. Couple o' questions on the seat harness:

1) I've seen illustrations and model examples of both the "X"-type harness with straps crossing, and the more standard four-straight-straps configuration. Which is more appropriate? Either one OK for an earlier Fury?

2) What material and color should the straps be? I'm leaning toward beige or light tan, but can't seem to find a decent reference.

Any help in getting this littel beast finished and off my workbench will be greatly appreciated!! :^)
