Heard from several people lately who had a hard time getting on the site for Schiffer's upcoming book THE STAND: The Final Flight of Lt. Frank Luke, Jr.

The root URL has changed, but the domain has not. Simply type in "THESTANDfrankluke.com" and you will be whooshed to the site without any problem at all. You may need to save it again in your bookmarks under its new root URL, but the site is up and running and has remained under the same domain name.

Thanks Stephen. Has Schiffer given you an exact month they expect to release the book?

Nope, not yet.

However, the release date has been moved back a bit. It is now expected between August and November, so its a late summer/early fall release instead of late fall/winter.

That's a good thing because I'm really just anxious to get it all over with right now (the publishing, that is). Production of the music video starts next month, the story boards for the animation sequences in the documentary are due in two days, editing on the docu begins in mid-May, and this all has to be done in time for the book and speaking tour to start up around Sept/Oct.

Schiffer also hopes for a release by Sept 29, the 90th anniversary of Luke's death. THE STAND will be included in Schiffer's June catalog. So I hope they step on it and get this part done and over with.
