Regrettably no longer in business

Closed a year ago. The catalogue you found online was not set up by Dr Merrill. What happened to his decal stock I wonder? The sheets I have seen on ebay sell for about four times the catalogue price so the stock has become a lot more valuable!

Does anyone know if there is any prospect of Americal re-opening?

Chris,
That was not a website per se, but a decal listing put up by Matt Bittner of the World War One Modeling List. I have heard a number of people close to Dr. Merrill say that he had mentioned that when the day came that he decided to shut it down, that there would be a large bonfire in the Merrill's backyard. The possibility of A/G coming back, as I have been made to understand it is slim, and none.
A/G was a labor of love of Dr. Merrill and his partners. No way they could ever make any money on it. As you can see, no company has ever jumped up to take over the line or fill the gap. I'm afraid that it is a gap that may never be filled until someone comes forward that is willing to sink the money, personal time, and put up with the hassle of all the people that "bi%^#ed" about A/G then, and will again.

Thanks, guys. I saw Matt's name in the link address and I wasn't sure if he had anything to do with A/G.

Hopefully Spada will fill some of the gap. They're coming out with stuff so maybe I can get what I want/need from them in the next few months.

My money's on Spada, too,

especially if their 4- & 5-color lozenge is (even near) right. Unfortunately, with their other comitments, I seriously doubt they'll be able to come close to matching A/G's range of subjects. Fortunately, many of the markings of interest to me can be reproduced from cutting solid decal material, or masking & painting. Sure wish, though, that someone would produce generic alphabets/numbers, in order to have accurate serial numbers.
