Next largest Wings of War game ever

Hello!

Next try to play the largest WoW game ever, with more than the 34 pilots of PisaCon 2007, will be at the Encontro Nacional de Boardgames - Leiria (Portugal) the 26th of January, 2008. A game with at least 35 miniatures will be tried.

LeiriaCon has a tradition of very nice WoW games. This is a 12 planes game from the previous edition:

I will be there. Please come, if you can! Meeting time is 10 o'clock in the morning (no Dawn Patrols for us Southern people...).

Please enlist there:

Happy flights,

Andrea

Please come if you pass by. The WoW game will be in early afternoon, just after lunch.

What a blast!

Brings back the days of my miniatures wargaming past.

Very nice Angiolillo.

Thanks Dave!

I share that past too... Loads of lead figures, but also of Airfix and Atlantic armies on the cellar's floor... Hope that WoW will help to bring some more recruits to that hobby!

Series II WoW Release?

Any updates on the release of series II? Is there a more exact timeframe than 'Spring 08' yet? Thanxs!

Let me echo that last post. Nobody in the UK knows when shipment of the new models is due. Quite a few people in the RAF Wargames Association expressed more than just an interest, and their Annual Championship weekend is just three weeks away.

At the half of last week the ship with Series 2 minis and the Squadron Packs for the WWII series headed to Europe reached the port of Leghor, in Tuscany (central Italy). It was stopped by bad weather and it could enter the port only between Friday and Saturday. A cople of days of customs and bureocracy, and the stuff reached the deposit in Prato (central Tuscany) from which it is being sent all over Europe. The copies for Italy arrived today at Nexus warehouse. The ones to France, Spain, Portugal, Germany and all the rest of the continent, UK included, are being sent at the same time all over Europe. I hope it's a matter of days now before they hit the shelves - a different amount of days depending on the specific nation.

Another ship headed tyo USA should arrive there in these days too.

Have fun!

Andrea

Ta

Blimey Andrea, what a detailed answer. Many thanks. I'm off to inform my supplier and hope to take some miniatures to the lads in the RAF. Many thanks again.
