Nieuport X C1 No.415, from which Esc?

I'm trying to identify the Serbian flyer standing in front of this aircraft at unknown airfield at Salonica Front, I'd say in first half of 1916. If I could identify the Escadrille it would make things much easier. My candidate is N.91.

Cheers,
Boris

Hi Bruno,
I know which French units were there and have a lists with all Serbian fliers (which weren't too many), I just thought that exact unit could be found through the plane number.
Cheers,
Boris

Too small image. Have you larger one? I think I have something which look like this but no time to watch in a box with unselected images...

Jeroplan- interesting nick. There was book written by former Serbian pilot Aleksandar deroko, "I onda je letio jeroplan nad Beogradom". Jeroplan is old Serbian term for aircraft [today we say avion]

'de si bre Srećko!

I have decent repro of this photo, but my limited PC knowledge, combined with this Forum' parameters allows me only to attach images smaller than 50 kb.
As for the Jeroplan, you got it right, and have a look at the cover of my Dornier book

Cheers,
Boris

Hello

Sorry Boris for my answer were I posted all the pilots you already know-lol-

About the photo, the aircraft is a Nieuport 10 or nieuport 12 (two seaters)
(V shape of the front cabane struts)

In The book "French aircraft of ww1" they tell that:
"The serbians received extensive support from France'aviation Militaire and three escadrilles equipped with Nieuport 11 were active in Serbia in 1916.
these units were N 387(a combined Franco-Serbian unit), N391 (an all french unit) and a Nieuport escadrille under the control direct of the Serbian high command-the latter unit was used for reconnaissance and to transport spies behind enemy lines. The Nieuport escadrilles used a combination of Nieuport 10s and 11"

From an other source (SHAA) the escadrille 391 used only Nieuport XI
The escadrille 387 used Nieuport X and XI
She used Nieuport XII too and in August 1916 a Nieuport XII had N°730 serial number

My Guess is that the escadrille on the photo was 387 and not 391

Cordialement
Bruno

Hi Bruno,
it is definitely an Nieuport X C, as I have some other photos from the same esc. There are even some Brits on them. I suspected it is N.91 since an Serbian pilot (which looks like the one on the photo) was in N.91 at the time. However, there were few of them in N.87 as well. So the N.91 is off. The problem is that as far as i know, it was common to have a pair of chasseurs in other esc. as well. Do you have any info about esc. of Nieuport X A No.632 in July and August 1916?

Cheers,
Boris

You mean like this? But if I lower the Image quality it is bigger but the sharpness suffers...
