Interestingly enough, of the "major" powers in the Great War, the nation with the oldest average line soldier was Turkey, with a ripe old age of 28.6 years. If taking into account the young marrying ages at the close of the 19th century/ opening of the 20th, as well as culutral Middle-East averages even younger (often adolescence or even children), it is a fairly safe conjecture, without an actual figure in front of me, that the Turks likely had the greatest
percentage of married men in their ranks. If someone comes up with an actual figure, I'd love to know.
