44th Wing RAF 1918 - help please.

Hello
I have a 4+ foot long panoramic photo of the 44th Royal Flying Force - Camp Borden, Ont. Sept 7th 1918. The name Dave Williams is written on the bottom of the frame. It shows a large number of hangers and several Jennys.

Did this group make it to Europe or were they in Canada at the end of the war? Were their regimental numbers similar to ground forces?

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks
Rob
