It Has to Be
Spreading rumors that a certain noted nobleman from a prominent European nation that happened to lose the war was or might have been gay.
Actually I think it was when my uncle Gus ran out of schnaps in 1923, crawled out of his bombproof and asked the French policemen who took him into custody who won the war. VR, Roadhog

Life is hilariously cruel. Why should it be anything different?

Hi Rod,
I agree! Also the same for the earth bound (non-aviation).
Was dropping steel flitchettes, grappling hooks, rocks, and the exchange of small arms fire, amongst early aviators, more sporting and less coldblooded?
I guess the results are much the same, regardless of the technological advances!

along with ross, i 2nd (or 3rd) the motion!!!
the british high command believed that parachutes would undermine the aggressive spirit and that pilots would bail out prematurely instead of "going for it". i believe only observation balloon crews were issued 'chutes. what a load of _____ (dear moderator: pls select a word that will not get me thrown out of the forum)!
