"Shooting the Front" by Terrence Finnegan

this is actually one of the BEST books on WWI aviation I've ever come across. it's a challenging read. it's so jam-packed with information that it's hardly a "fun" read. but there is so much stuff there it's worth every penny.

I'm probably over-emphasizing the point because after waiting over a year to finally get a copy I wasn't sure if it would live up to my expectations, let alone exceed them... and yet, it still managed to be better than I was hoping for!

between "Schlachtflieger" and the new translation of Rene Martel's book on French Tactical and Strategic bombing it almost seems like there's a "renaissance" of research on WWI two-seater work that's long-overdue.
