Any News about the Red Baron film from Germany!
Hi Folks,
Just wondering if anyone out there has heard anything lately about the status of the much-anticipated Red Baron film from Germany? One of the last posts in the other thread was by Major Larabee, who indicated that he had heard that "unless they can fund some reshooting" the film was pretty much down the drain.
So what's the news? Is this thing dead in the water? The film makers apparently completed the live-action filming in Prague (with big name actors like Schweiger and Fiennes) but the promised state-of-the-art and accurate CGI work had yet to be completed, the last I knew. A preview screening in the UK, with video-game style preliminary CGI dogfights, drew awful reviews for the acting and script.
Still, I would have liked to see it....
At least "Flyboys" was completed and distributed, and did a fairly decent job in many ways.
