I don't know about the second photograph, but the first one - "temp/Nungesser_finger.jpg" - certainly does come from the filming of "Hell's Angels" and has nothing to do with Nungesser. The main figure in the photo is Roscoe Turner, who flew the Sikorsky S-29 in the background marked with the arrow through the skull insignia, which served as the "Gotha" in the movie. The caption for this photo in H. Hugh Wynne's authoritative book, "The Motion Picture Stunt Pilots" (page 80) says, "Ira Reed enjoys spoiling Roscoe Turner's picture as Turner poses in a Royal Flying Corps uniform". Ira Reed was one of the other pilots on the movie crew.
