Who was 2/Lt Stanley James Gardiner?
Hi All:
Need some help with this one: Picture would be helpful, references, books, etc., to find some info on him.
Does anyone know anything about 2nd-Lieutenant Stanley James Gardiner (SE5a A/C# B508) - (No. 56 Squadron ‘C’ Flight) ?????????
The only info I have been able to gain is that he was posted to 56 Squadron on 17 Aug 1917 and Struck off Squadron Strength on 10 Dec 1917 to Hospital. No reason as to why he went to hospital and what happend to him afterwords????
He was assigned to 56 Squadron for approximately 115 days!!!!!
thanks for any assistance!

My files show four combat reports for him; three indecisive combats, and one decisive combat, an OOC on Sept 23, 1917, in SE 5a B508, a two seater, NE of Dixmude between 1740 and 1835. It is also noted in RFC Communiqué 106. All the combat reports are with 56 Squadron.

Just a thought, I have compiled quite a file on Werner Voss and if you all would like a copy, plz to send via PM your e-mail address and I will get it out asap. Be advised that the files are rather large: 4.5 Megs for part 1 and 5.5 megs for part 2. tc
