Expensive?

Yes a bit expensive maybe. It depends what you compare it to and how much you really want a 1/72 Breguet IV. Export price is £15.66. You can buy a Roden Gotha for £13.60 which is definitely better value. A Special Hobby Lloyd CV is only £10.20 which is good value (if you want a Lloyd CV). An Aeroclub Short 184 will cost you £15.74 - virtually the same. The Pegasus 2 seater kits sell for £11.91 which is better value but you get only one decal option with those. Compared to resin kits of course it is not too bad. An Ardpol DH9 will cost you £16.98, or for a Halberstadt CLII you would pay £19.15. A Czech Master Resin kit of a Hansa Brandenburg W12 will cost £21.87.
Happy Modelling

I have to agree with others. Cost is directly related to HOW MUCH YOU WANT THE KIT!

Yes, you are right, but.........
I'd like to remember that it was a plastic kit.
Maybe I'm ready to pay that money for resin...
Is the plastic good enouhg to pay for?
There are only pic of the box and dec.

Arrow The usual prices problem ...

Hello!

Yesterday, without knowing about about this thread, I stumbled across these kits (Breguet Bre 14 A2 French Service and Breguet Bre 14 B2 French Service) in the "Modellbaustudio Rhein-Ruhr" in Essen/Germany. I was really happy to see this famous aircraft as a "normal/injection moulded" plastic kit!

Then Mr. Schorsch showed me another kit of this series: the Breguet Bre 14 Foreign Service but I decided to buy the 2 French versions. The price was more than acceptable for me: I paid 16,98 Euros for a very nice plastic kit with several accessories.

I compared the price of Hannants (18,40 Pounds = 26,85 Euros) with the sum I paid - and it seems that their price is really a bit overpriced. At least I saved nearly 10 Euros and could have spend them in suitable colours for the Breguet.

But there is still a considerable problem: on the box you can read "limited edition"! Do I have get more of them within a short time before they are all sold out?

.

I visited Flander's Contest at Hoboken (Antwerp) last week. They were selling them at almost every stand. Average price was €17,-... I was in doubt if I should buy one, but try to stick to 1/48 scale. So I am eagerly waiting for Roden's release of this month.

Greetings, Nico
