Peter Amesbury - WW1 Zeppelin photo collection

Please could anyone help me locate the whereabouts of Peter Amesbury and/or his photographic collection.

He was last heard of, living in Germany.

Some of his photos were published in Douglas Robinson's book - Zeppelin in Combat. They were also published in Ray Rimmell's book, Zeppelin, plus Cheesman's Air Defence.

As many of you will know, DR has passed away - and Ray has not heard from Peter Amesbury in a long time, though he suspects that Peter may have passed away. Both Ray and I would dearly like to know what happened to his photo collection, if this is the case.

Any leads, old or new, would be appreciated.

Many thanks

Pete

Hi, Pete--

Afraid I have nothing to add, but perhaps you can help me. In Ray's latest Datafile Zeppelin he refers to the photo credit "Linnarz Album". Do you know anything about its whereabouts? I am very curious as I have Linnarz's awards.

Hi John

Douglas Robinson made a copy of the Linnarz Photo Album and gave these photos to Ray. He is unsure where the originals are, but suggests you try the museum in Dallas (where much of the DR collection has ended up).

Regards

Pete
