Would be interesting to see a good view of the Rumpler Holzturm. I've always been partial to E. Rumpler's airplanes and even his strange car. Ransom

This anemometer tower was situated at the main entrance of the Johannisthal airfield from late 1912 at least. Bigger "Manoli-Turm" was erected at the same time from bricks. I will try to scan some images tomorrow.

Now that we have the place and the structure pinned down, how about the aeroplane?
It is not the Fokker V.17, although there are some similar features.

Ransom,
Rumpler Luftfahrzeugbau GmbH was situated nearby from October 1912 (Rumpler-Werke GmbH from July 1914).
A. H. G. Fokker Aeroplanbau mbH was located just behind the tower during 1912/13.
Harlan, Ago, Aviatik, and Emil Jeannin Flugzeugbau GmbH shared hangars at "neuen Startplatz".
Regards,
Yavor

National Flugzeug-Werke (N.F.W.) E.I of 1915. The N.F.W. firm was based at Johannisthal.

I have no idea what it actually IS, but that wing, it is all over the place - yet distinctly Morane. How many designers, other than, say, Pfalz, just appropriated it?
