I do apologize for the poor quality of the picture. It's enlarged to twice original size, as it was the best of the very few I could find and was a little too small to make a decent presentation.

Possibly one (of two) DFW-Mars-Doppeldecker which were sold to the Ottoman Empire in 1913.

I do not think it is German. The propeller looks like British.

Yes, the propeller ist not looking German but spares were rare in Turkey.
BTW the Britons bought a Mars-Doppel-Decker too.
A clear shot of the tail section would show if this is a Mars-DD.
The wings and struts are German (or stolen!).

Based on JANE’S Fighting Aircraft, a Spanish military Type “W”, whatever that is.

You guys are almost there - you've got two out of three. Rbailey and Dave are correct in that it is Spanish and was known as the "W." Now who can tell me the designer/manufacturer?
Hint: the information IS available on the internet, although I haven't yet found it on any English-language pages.
This is a good example of the tricks orthochromatic film can play on us. The Spanish national marking was a square split into three bands of red, yellow and red to mimic the Spanish flag. It's very difficult - if not impossible - to see the difference between the red and yellow on some ortho prints, making the Spanish marking appear to be a Turkish one.
