New WWI Novel, "Severed Branch"

Hello Aerodrome members,
With some historical assistance from some of you, my first novel "Severed Branch" has been released. Its hyperlink on Barnes & Noble is below.
It's a dual plot work of historical fiction. It starts in the modern day but it flashes back to trench fighting on the Somme and follows a character iassigned to the 27 Squadron of the RFC.
The novel describes some knockout dogfights between the RFC and the Germans over the 1916 Somme battle as well as the 27 Squadron's exclusive use of the Martinsyde Elephant aeroplanes in their bombing of strategic targets behind the Germans lines. The story also captures the perils and the consequences of the RFC's aerial wireless ranging of the Royal Artillery guns.
Perhaps some of this site's membership would enjoy the WWI sections of this book as well as the more erotic exploits of the story's twisted modern day plot.
Please excuse my shameless promotion. I have written this book on a shoe-string, but I feel it deserves a fair exposure to reading public like the Aerodrome membership. It has been reviewed by a UK-based editor who has transformed the manuscript into a real pager turner. Thank you for considering my work.

Andrew- Sounds great. Sign me up for a copy, especially if you received any you can autograph for me. Name your price and send me an address to send the money in a PM. There was someone on the Forum just a day or so ago asking questions about 27 Sq whose grandfather flew in the unit. Small world since he wanted to know what aircraft they flew and one was the G100 elephant.

Taz,
If you and some of your Aerodrome associates would be so kind as to buy a copy of my novel from Barnes & Noble.com or Amazon, I would be very pleased to sign your copy and mail it back to you.
I am planning a book signing tour in the next few months. I'll be mostly on the east coast of the US. However, if there is a strong interest in a particular area, I'd be willing to venture further out to any bookstore for an author event or attend another special club-like gathering.
My email address is a_mowatt@yahoo.com. I can provide you my mailing address via this manner.
Yes, I did research the 27 Squadron's service on the Somme in 1916 as part of the story. In particular, when they were flying out of Fienvillers aerodrome. The Martinsydes were used for bombing and photography recon. In fact, the aerodrome was on the edge of an orchard. Not much to see of it today in 2006 if you go out there. Vert Galant aerodrome is also mentioned in my novel and it's old admin buildings that are essentially barn structures can be recognized from old photos today.
Taz, thank you for the support.

Andrew,

Congratulations on having your first novel published. That's a wonderful accomplishment.

Where on the East Coast will you be touring? I'm in Harrisburg, PA. Is that near one of your planned stops?

Regards,

Hello Drew,
My publicist is hammering out the dates for the book tour. I can't say whether or not I'll be headed for PA just yet. I would imagine Philly is a possibility, however, not dates confirmed. If there is a strong interest at a particular location, I am more than willing to schedule an event near you. If I miss you, I'd be very pleased to sign a copy of my book that is mailed to me. I can email you my mailing address via a_mowatt@yahoo.com.
Thank you for the support.
