Pup going down

This is illustration in progress and this have to present Manfred von Richthifen's 61 aerial victory. Hope in the following day I will paint Sopwith Pup in green over the fuselage and landing gear and will start with the pilot in the cockpit of Dr. I. I don't like much how I have made clouds and there will be possible some changes too. Much od details will be also add but in general this is the composition how this art will look like.

Thumbs up Dynamic control surfaces

Hello Sreiko,
These examples all look very promising, I look forward to seeing the finished products. One thing I always notice in WW1 aviation art is that very often the control surfaces (Rudder, ailerons, elevators) are all in a neutral position, even during the most violent actions. It makes it look very static where dynamics are expected. Is this something you are going to work on as well, especially in the triplane-pup battle scene?
keep updating us with your art!

Yes

Hi sijko,

you have very good noticed the position of the control surfaces. All are in the neutral position now and last thing will be paint it in new position. On Fokker there will be port aileron in lowered position and vertical rudder in left ofset. Horizontal will keep it position as it have now. I am still not sure about Sopwith Pup but I am sure that this will be also moved.
