Each Wings of War Miniatures Airplane Pack will include one pre-painted, pre-assembled 1/144 scale model plane (plastic+metal) with gaming base, the relative airplane card and its deck of Maneuver cards.

A preview of prototypes here:
http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/22510

A "Wings of War Miniatures" rulebook will be available at www.wingsofwar.it at the same moment in which the packs will be in the shops.

A DeLuxe box will follow with 4 models (among the abovementioned), rulebook, counters, consolles and rulers.

Including all the time needed for shipping to far-off countries and such, the official date is now "Spring 2007".

Happy flights,

Andrea

Great News

Does the game still play the same with the models? Is altitude taken into account? A great game by the way I have the Famous Aces only and have yet to buy the other versions.
Good Luck with your new product line

Well, it does not happen often, but I'm stunned.
I just posted this in another thread in this section:

" (regarding the "Wings of War" game: we have some die hard wargamers here who won't touch anything that doesn't actually use models. So we were looking into a tabletop/miniature-game and stumbled upon the rules-set mentioned in the first post.) "

Go figure.

Yes, just replace the airplane card with the model.

Yes, as an optional rule just as the one in Burning Drachens (you can read the rulebook at http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/PD...warbdrules.pdf ) with a little limit on the height span you can use during play.

Excellent news!
Any new source of 1/144 WW1 models is always welcome!

How do the models compare size wise to Reviresco or skytrex ? (Wargamers have to ask this, its compulsory)!

I must admit... I have neither Reviresco nor Skytrex! I think they have never distributed in Italy, nor I ever bought them by email...

Looking forward to seeing them in the shops here.

It should be something new to do when my Memoir'44 addiction wears off.

Still need to find a copy of Burning Draachen

I am very sorry, but I fear that PS Games will be very slow in introducing Burning Drachens in the Netherlands. If you get an English copy, anyway, apart from the rules you find language-indipendent materials.

Did you get the booster packs "Top Fighters" and "Recon Patrol" in Holland?

Happy flights!

Ordered the English edition of Burning Drachen from an online store now. Should arrive sometime during the week.

I have not seen the other packs in the Netherlands yet.
