Fokker D-VII Gauges
Hello My Name is Gil and I was wondering if anyone here has information on the manufacturer of the fuel pressure gauge in the Cockpit of the D-VII? We are modeling a version for Flight Simulator and so far have not found any detailed info or photos/drawing of said gauge or Gauges.Any help would be greatly appreciated......Best Regards Goldenagesimulations.com

I found one of these ORIGINAL Fokker D.VII air pressure gauges (for fuel-feed header pressure) recently on eBay! Let me know if you would like a color close up photo of mine, as it looks exactly like these two from the NASM's D.VII restoration.

Franzkait,
Which photo do you refer to - the NASM's two ORIGINAL D.VII air pressure gauges as shown, or the single (non-Fokker D.VII) photo from Willem?
Please let us know!

Try Edward R. Hamiliton, Bookseller
Dear Travelaire, A couple of months ago I bought a huge reference book from Edward R. Hamiliton, bookseller, that dealt with detailed photographs and illustrations of German warplane cockpits from 1911 to 1970. I am away from from my library but as I recall, it is entitled German Aircraft Cockpits; 1911-1970. Anyway you can go to his webpage and click on aviation history and then WWI and WWII. I believe that it is on sale for around $45.
The Fokker D-VII is one of the planes that is featured in the book.
I will send you the complete title and author's name tomorrow. VR, Roadhog "Memento mori."

Here is my original OAW-built D.VII's fuel tank air pressure gauge, just like the NASM OAW-built D.VII's ("U.10") gauges pictured here in the black and white photos. The outer case (mine is black) diameter is 75mm, and the inside brass ring's outer edge diameter is 50mm. As shown here, the OAW-built D.VII had two such identical gauges mounted on the wooden instrument panel.
I found this original gauge on eBay.
